“ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” Presentation Ceremony 2024
The “ERB Manpower Developer Award Scheme” Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 6 August 2024. The ceremony officiated by Mr Chris Sun Yuk-han, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Ms Alice Lau Yim, JP, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Yu Pang-chun, GBS, JP, Chairman of ERB, Professor Simon Wong Kit-lung, BBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of ERB and Mr Byron Ng Kwok-keung, BBS, Executive Director of ERB, was well-attended by around 300 senior executives of MDs and guests. On the occasion, awards were given to a new cohort of around 80 MDs and 25 Grand Prize Awardees in recognition of their dedication to talent cultivation and unswerving support to the ERB training courses and collaboration projects.

Around 300 senior executives and guests attended the ceremony to celebrate the outstanding achievements of MDs in manpower training and development.
Mr Chris Sun Yuk-han, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, presented the “Grand Prize Award” to 25 MDs in recognition of their unswerving support to the ERB training courses and collaboration projects during the years of 2022-2024.
Around 80 public and private organisations are newly accredited as MDs this year, collaborating with ERB to promote manpower training and development.
The Scheme has earned substantial industry recognition, with around 150 MDs acknowledged as “Super MDs” after having been awarded the MD status for 10 consecutive years.
Ms Iris Chao (middle), Human Resources Controller of Pok Oi Hospital, and Mr Kelvin Leung (second left), Assistant Manager (Human Resources Services) of The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd., as well as ERB graduate trainees, shared experiences in joining the ERB training programmes, showcasing employers' commitment in nurturing talent, as well as ERB trainees' dedication to learn and contribute.
