Full resumption of ERB classroom training starting from 5 March 2021

The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) announces to fully resume classroom training starting from 5 March 2021.

In response to the development of the pandemic and to tie in with the preventive and control measures implemented by the Government, ERB suspended all its classroom training from mid-December 2020.  Classroom training was then resumed in phases and orderly manner from mid-January 2021 onwards.  With effect from 22 February 2021, classroom training of over 500 courses representing around 80% of all ERB courses has been resumed.

As the pandemic situation shows further sign of stabilisation, coupled with smooth gradual resumption of classes recently, ERB decides to resume all its classroom training with effect from 5 March 2021 (next Friday) to address the huge demand of members of the public for training services.  Meanwhile, a hybrid mode of classroom training and online learning will continue be implemented with over 360 online courses currently in offer.

To safeguard the health of trainees and related persons, all training bodies must implement a host of precautionary measures in compliance with the “Guidelines on Precautionary Measures against COVID-19” issued by ERB.  Individual training bodies may adjust the class resumption arrangements with respect to their own situation, and the latest information announced by the training bodies concerned shall prevail.

Should trainees and members of the public have any enquiries, please contact respective training bodies direct, or call the ERB hotline 182 182 or visit the ERB website www.erb.org
