ERB training courses will only be offered in online mode from 15 December 2020 onwards

In view of the severe situation of the COVID-19 pandemic with increasing proportion of local confirmed cases with unknown sources of infection, and to tie in with the further tightened control measures implemented by the Government to drastically reduce the flow of people and social contacts, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) announces that starting from tomorrow (15 December 2020), training will be conducted in online mode only and there are over 300 online training courses currently in offer.  Classroom training arrangements of all ERB courses including courses under the “Love Upgrading Special Scheme 2”, skills assessment service of training courses and trainee activities will be temporarily suspended until further notice.  Training bodies have started notifying the trainees concerned.

Counter service of the ERB Siu Sai Wan office, “Practical Skills Training and Assessment Centre” (PSTAC), “ERB Service Centre”, “ERB Service Spots”, Regional Service Centres of “Smart Living” and office of “Smart Baby Care” will also be temporarily closed until further notice.  Meanwhile, the ERB hotline 182 182 (operating hours between 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday), “Smart Living” and “Smart Baby Care” referral services, and training consultancy video conferencing service will remain normal operation.

ERB will closely monitor the latest development of the pandemic situation and makes timely announcements in due course.  Should trainees and members of the public have any enquiries, please contact respective training bodies, PSTAC or operators of the referral platforms; or call the ERB hotline 182 182 or visit the ERB website: www.erb.org
